Learn to swim at Splash Swim School’s south-eastern venue. You’ll be using the same top-class facilities as the students at South East Technological University (formerly Waterford Institute of Technology).We’re proud to provide high-quality, small-group swimming lessons for all ages and stages here in Waterford.
Our pool here in Waterford is 25m long, the length typically used for competition swimming (including international races).You’ll enjoy a pool temperature of 30 degrees and a depth of 2m at the deep end.You can access the pool by following the steps down from the car park to the front door of the Leisure Centre.
The leisure centre has 100 free car-parking spaces, making it easy to access your swimming lesson.
During the final week of each term, parents and guardians are welcome to sit in the viewing area. This is a great chance to celebrate the successes of our young swimmers and all they have learned.
During the rest of the term, we have a no-viewing policy. We find this helps the learners to be more focused on their instructors, with minimal distraction. It also creates a calmer and quieter environment for learning.
Our communal changing village offers enclosed individual cubicles. These make it easier for families to help each other before and after lessons.We also have separate male and female changing areas.
